Heavy rain to hit southern Thailand

             Weather authorities have warned heavy rains are expected to hit southern Thailand by Wednesday, adding more woes to a nation already struggling with longlasting floods in central and northeastern parts of the country.

              Rain-trigged floods have already claimed at least 73 lives over the past month in the country. Over 700,000 people have been affected.

         Also expected to see strong winds, and vessels are advised to take shelter in harbours.
