'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout's Brother Matt Seriously Injured in Dirt Bike Accident

'Teen Mom' star Maci Bookout's brother Matt was badly injured in a dirt bike accident but is doing well.

Teen Mom star Maci Bookout's brother Matt Bookout was badly injured in a dirt bike accident last week, but the MTV personality reports that her sibling is recovering nicely.

According to reality website The Ashley, Matt was dirt biking without a helmet when he crashed near his family's Tennessee home. His skull was fractured in four places. Luckily, Matt was able to get to the hospital quickly and Maci reports that he's due to make a full recovery.

Dirt biking seems to be the Bookout family hobby of choice. Maci met her ex-fiance and the father of her son, Ryan Edwards, through the activity. Their little boy Bentley has already had his first lessons.

Although Maci and her big brother Matt are close, Matt chose not to appear on Teen Mom or in Maci's original episode of 16 and Pregnant, so many fans didn't know much about him.

The 22-year-old MTV star took to Twitter to keep her followers posted about Matt's progress. He is now out of the hospital and spending the weekend in a remote - and internet-free! - getaway with his family.
