Nicolas Cage: A fan of Chinese cinema
The Rock, Face/Off and Con Air all have one thing in common and
that is of course Nicholas Cage. Now a joint film production between
China, the US and Canada called 'Outcast' has brought the star to
Beijing for a promotional press conference.
Hayden Christensen and director Nick Powell were also on hand
promoting the film, which has been jointly funded by China’s Yunnan Film
Group and their overseas partners. This is the sixth time Hollywood
star Nicolas Cage has come to China and the actor says he is a big fan
of Chinese culture and is even considering setting up an office in Hong
Kong. The film features young Chinese actress Liu Yifei, who also
featured in "The Forbidden Kingdom" with Jackie Chan and Jet Lee in
2008. Young singer Summer Jike also makes her debut on big screen,
playing the role of a dumb woman.
