Ini Edo speaks on her failed marriage, says she has no regrets
Actress Ini Edo was a guest on RubbingMinds yesterday where she spoke on her failed marriage to Philip Ehiagwina. When asked to address insinuations that her marriage crashed because she picked her career over family and refused to move to the US where her ex resided, Ini Edo said;
"First of all, I got married early because I wanted to have a family so anybody wouldn’t think that I would want to chose career over family in as much as my career is also very important. Basically there would never be a particular reason. You know how these things work. Its like I said, differences. I mean, incompatibility. Not being able to reach certain compromises or finding common ground.
You know when you’re with someone, even your work partner, if you cannot find common ground or agree on certain things....sighs "she said
Asked if she was too young to get married, Ini said
"No I don't think I married too soon. I was pretty much of age. Maybe a little in a hurry. I don't think I married too soon"she said .
Asked whether distance ruined their marriage, she said
"Being together actually helps in understanding. It creates more platform to understand each other more. Maybe it would have helped. Distance plays a very important role in a relationship, no matter the difference or incompatibility, if you are together a lot, you can find a way to work things out'she said
Asked if her ex husband ever complained about her job, a hesitant Ini Edo said
"He met me an actor so I want to believe he was okay with it. Naturally I mean. Of course. My work takes my time. It does takes my time. It appears"she said Asked if she regrets her crashed marriage, she said "I try not to regret my actions so I will say it has been an experience which I have learnt a lot from. It’s made me a stronger person, it’s made me wiser and I think it has actually made me more matured. So I won’t say that I regret anything; I’ll say that I have learnt my lesson"she said.

EFCC chairman accused of diverting N1trillion loot recovered from corrupt politicians
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde, has been accused of diverting over N1tn recovered from corrupt politicians who forfeited their loots. A man named George Uboh recently petitioned the Senate, accusing the chairman of the anti-graft agency of diverting money recovered from corrupt politicians including former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; and ex-Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun.

The Senate having received the petition which was dated July 31st, ordered its Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate the allegations. Both the petitioner and Mr Lamorde have been invited to appear by the Senate committee at Meeting Room 120 of the New Senate Building, National Assembly Complex, on Wednesday August 26th for some questioning.

According to the petition which was addressed to Senate President Bukola Saraki, Mr Lamorde is accused of carrying out many diversions while he served as the Director of Operations of the EFCC between 2003 and 2007 and also as an acting Chairman of the commission between June 2007 and May 2008.

The petitioner alleged that in March 2013, the EFCC boss diverted the sum of N779m out of the total N3bn forfeited by former police chief, Tafa Balogun to the Federal Government. He also alleged that the EFCC boss conspired with some officials of the anti-graft agency to under-remit the former IG’s forfeited funds of about N5.85bn into the Consolidated Revenue Account by holding back about N2.65bn.

The petitioner assured the Senate that he was ready to provide unparalleled evidence to back his allegations against Lamorde. Both men are expected to appear before the Senate by 10am on Wednesday August 26th.
Terrifying CCTV shows 'rapist' carrying comatose victim across road before vicious attack (photos)
The near-unconscious woman shown being carried above had reportedly been partying with friends in Birmingham city centre when she was abducted by the man, who was later caught on CCTV carrying her across a road. The woman had been a little drunk and had just left a nightclub when she bumped into the man who took her, viciously raped her and fled. She was rescued by someone who found her a short time later highly distressed.

The incident happened last year October but the police only released the CCTV footage today after the victim agreed to its release. The police hoped that by releasing the footage, someone would recognize the man and report him as he has not been identified yet.
"I implore people to take a good look at the CCTV and focus on the man.  Do you recognise him? Were you in the area around the time of the attack? I appreciate it was a long time ago but the situation will have looked very odd and will undoubtedly have stayed with you. I would also appeal to the man in the footage to call me. Please, come forward now. This is your chance to explain. We will not give up on finding the man who carried out the attack" a police rep said

44 killed in fresh Boko Haram attacks in Borno and Yobe states
No fewer than 44 people were killed after Boko Haram members attacked some communities in Munguno LGA in Borno state and some other communities in Yobe state this past weekend.

Monguno is the hometown of Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno, who was yesterday July 13th appointed the new National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Buhari.

Borno State Police Commissioner Aderemi Opadokun, while confirming the attacks said in a statement that several houses were burnt in the process

They operated for hours on that night while setting houses ablaze; at the end of the deadly operation, 43 persons were found dead either killed by gunshots or slaughtered like animals. They did not stop there, they also attacked some other villages around the area, but luckily those villages were long deserted; so they went ahead to set the house ablaze.”he said
Female terrorist who stabbed American woman to death in an Abu Dhabi mall has been executed
The female terrorist/ISIS fanatic who stabbed an American mother of 11 year old twins to death in an Abu Dhabi shopping mall toilet was executed in the early hours of today. Alaa Bader Al Hashemi, 30, (pictured in burqa roaming around the mall, looking for a victim) was executed at dawn after President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed alNahyan approved the death sentence.

The woman butchered 47-year-old nursery school teacher Iboyla Ryan at random in a toilet inside the mall after first selecting a British woman as her victim but left her alone because she was with a baby in a pushchair which made it difficult for the terrorist to corner her in a toilet.

She then picked Mrs Ryan (pictured above - she was actually seen on CCTV approaching the woman), she followed Mrs Ryan into the toilets and asked for her help to enter a disabled cubicle before locking them both in and launching a frenzy knife attack. She fled the scene but was caught after planting a bomb outside the apartment of a renowned American surgeon living in the Arab emirate.

The knife found at the scene of the attack pictured above. Al Hashemi had been brainwashed online.

"Stay away from Nigerian men! All Nigerian men are conmen' - Kenyan girl writes
In an article titled 'Things that tell your Nigerian man is a big con' a Kenya writer who goes by the name City Girl, dragged Nigerian men by their balls. Choi. Below is what she wrote, first published on Nairobinews
What is it with Kenyan women and Nigerian men? What is it with those short, stocky bearded West African mohines that make Kenyan women move planets for them?
We have heard enough stories about how Kenyan women borrowed loans for their Nigerian boyfriends to pay for ‘containers with goods worth millions’ stuck at the port only for the Nigerian man to disappear.
I know Kenyan women whose careers and lives have come to a standstill after a Nigerian man swept them clean, and I mean clean; car, house, land, money… everything.

So today, ladies, I chose to address this topic, once and for all. After this, I don’t expect any of you to be conned by a so-called ‘romantic’ Nigerian man. I will only say this once.

Stay away from Nigerian men! All Nigerian men are conmen. Repeat after me; “All Nigerian men are conmen”. There are no exceptions here. When you see a Nigerian man, run the other way. Don’t stop to invoke the name of Jesus or pray. Just take cover.

While you are at it, here are a few pointers you need to look out for in a Nigerian man. If he exhibits any of these traits, then you are dealing with a riffraff.

1. He is too romantic: You have never met a man like him. He treats you like a glass statue and worships the ground you walk on. He is not like the unromantic Kenyan men who don’t text you back or return your calls. He calls you ‘baby’ all the time except when he calls you ‘my queen’.
You have never been immersed in so much love and affection. You are literally intoxicated in his love. He will even paint your toenails and shampoo your hair. Red flag.
He is fattening you up for slaughter. He is warming your heart. Softening you up by leading you to believe that you have found the one. It is not humanly possible for a man to be 100 per cent romantic, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That romantic Nigerian man is up to something.

2. He throws money at you: No man in his right mind will throw money at a woman. Kwani wewe ni nani? But this Nigerian is the most generous man you have ever met in your life. He even gives you money before you ask for it because ‘you are special and you deserve it’.

He debunks every myth you have ever heard about Nigerian men swindling women off their money. You relax and put your guard down. You think that the Lord has finally smiled upon you and given you a wonderful man who is not only loving, but also rich. All those prayers you prayed for a husband have finally been answered. Shock on you.

He is making an investment and he knows what he is doing. He will shower you with gifts and money amounting to Sh1 million, knowing very well that he will con you Sh3 million and make a profit Sh2 million. Tax free.

One day, when you least expect, he will strike. He will be in dire need of some Sh2 million for a deal and because he has created an illusion of wealth, you will readily give in. You will run to the sacco and borrow some Sh2 million. That will be the beginning of your downfall.

3. He moves in with you: So he gives you a cock and bull story about how he is putting up with a friend in Kileleshwa but has been unsuccessfully looking for a house. You pity him and allow him to put up with you in your house for a short while before he finds a bigger house for the two of you.
Every week, he has a new excuse. “Oh, I found one but it is too big.” “Oh, I found another one in Lavington but I don’t like it.”

A week turns into a month and before you know it, you are co-habiting with a Nigerian man who can barely speak English. But because he treats you so nice (and sometimes even washes the dishes), you are blind to his antics. Be very worried.

4. He drives your car: My friends told me this, and I couldn’t believe it. How does a woman give her man her car to go drinking out with the ‘boys’ as she takes a matatu to work?
Only a woman with a Nigerian boyfriend can do that. So he uses cabs all the time and you think it is just unfair for him to spend so much money on cabs, yet you have a car. You lend him yours and before you know it, he is dropping you to work in your car, goes out drinking with his friends in your car and suddenly that car is no longer yours. Be warned.

A real man does not drive woman’s car and a smart woman does not allow a man to use her car to run his errands. If he doesn’t have a car, let him use a cab or buy one.

5. He has mysterious ‘trips’: He purports to be a businessman but you are not exactly sure what he does for a living. He travels often to Dubai, China, Thailand and Singapore for ‘business trips’.
You don’t care what he does for a living mainly because of all the goodies he brings you. Lingerie. Expensive shoes. Perfumes. Dresses. Bags.

He says he does business but has never really taken you to his office, nor have you met any of his business partners. Be especially wary of those Nigerians who purport to sell gold or cars.
He hasn’t given you a business card, but you are still okay with it because he seems flashy and talks big. Silly girl.

One day you are going about your business and the next day you are a suspect for a car-theft syndicate and police will insist that you are harbouring a criminal on Interpol’s watch list. And you thought he loved you for your great personality!

6. You run errands for him: He takes you on a ‘holiday’ to China and throws money at your feet. He allows you to buy whatever you like because ‘you are special and you deserve it’.
On your way back, he tells you to carry a package for him to deliver to his friend because he has no space in his bag. You readily agree. I mean, after all the bags he has bought you, you must have some space. Foolish girl.

That man is using you as a conduit for drugs and you only realise it when you are frantically calling your aging relatives from the airport cells. The Nigerian man is long gone.

You have been warned. Stay away from Nigerian men.
