Angelina Jolie received an honorary Oscar for her humanitarian work and thank Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie had to hold back her tears when she received the Humanitarian Award on Saturday night at the Governors Awards.
When  she was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the ceremony, the Oscar winner thanked Brad Pitt , among others, saying: "My love Your support and your suggestions will help me do what I do.. "
The husband of actress and their son,  Maddox , were at her side to support Jolie when she received the award for her ongoing humanitarian efforts.
"I will not cry, I promise," said Jolie to Maddox on stage. "I'm not going to shame. You and your brothers and sisters, you are my happiness, and I am extremely honored to be your mom."

Before she went on stage, the legendary actress Gena Rowland and George Lucas have both talked about Jolie's philanthropic efforts, as did other stars of the film,  In the Country blood and honey .
"I will do what my mom asked me and I will use this life as best I can," said Jolie, a tear in his eye. "The fact that I'm standing here today means that I did what she asked, and if she was still alive, she would be very proud of me, so thank you."
Over dinner that preceded the ceremony, Jolie was sitting at the head table, surrounded by his court. We saw chat with Emma Thompson ,  Ed Begley Jr .,  Tatum O'Neal , directorSteve McQueen  and Raquel Welch , among many others.
The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award is given "to the people in the film whose humanitarian efforts have industry to industry," said the president of the Academy of Arts and Sciences Film, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, when announced the winners of this year in September.
Oscar honor were also awarded to Angela Lansbury ,  Steve Martin and costume designer Piero Tosi .
